Riverbend Tower (333 Wacker)
This is based on 333 Wacker, the office tower at the northwest corner of Chicago’s Loop, where the outer street bends – hence the sweeping arc shape and reflective glass to compliment the meeting of the branches of the Chicago River. While its outer shape matches the river, its other side is molded after the grid of downtown, with tiers of jagged 90-degree angles. At 148m, this relatively short skyscraper’s unique shape and striking reflecions make it stand out as a superstar of the skyline.
