Description:

Hayden Island is a realstic Northern Canadian/Greenlandic map based off of the topagraphy of Nuuk Greenland. It is great for building samll fishing villages and small reasearch bases.

The map has no road or rail connections, although it does have 4 plane connections and 4 shipping connections.

NOTE: This is not a map designed for a large city, nor is it one for a vanilla player. Again, it does not have any road or rail connections. I have required 81 tiles due to the fact that the natural harbor roughly situated in the northeastern corner of the map is outside of the base 25 tiles.

This map is also very barren, with few natural resources, and no trees whatsoever. This is by design. The high north is relativley devoid of any natural resources, save for some oil.

This is meant to be a summertime map. However, some have said it should be a winter map. I may make a winter version of this map, although that effect can be easily replicated with the use of the mod theme mixer, where you can easily replace the current theme (Mediterranean Alternative) with a winter theme (I’d suggest Väterchen Frost).

In order to acheive the look of this map, I’d recommend downloading the relight mod and using the relight vintage LUT.

I hope you enjoy the map! 🙂
