Description:

Please pardon our dust while we update this map. If you want to use a nice Welsh map with farm fields right away, please consider the newer Caernarfon map: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=809057599 . The fields for Caernarfon are taken directly from a satellite image

or the Conwy "No Mods Required" version of this map here (has no farm plots): http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=532283577

This is much more than just a map! Thanks to the excellent mod "Network Extensions", I was able to plot out an entire landscape of appropriately small farms with tree lined / hedgerow borders, the style found in the British Isles, two lane highways that will speed you from the main city to the outlying towns and villages, and as people have requested in the past: roads that wind through the softly rolling terrain without warping the terrain and clearly identify what areas are flat for you to settle. You can of course make your own roads, and can "upgrade" the 2 lane, unlit National Road (has no zoneable squares) to regular zonable roads. If you upgrade to two lane, you will still have the trees on both sides of the country lanes.

It has all the things you expect in a Miyagi map, and the area on the north side (the seashore) is where you can fit quite the nice city. There’s even enough flat area for an international airport (also by the seashore, in the peninsula’s area).

Also, I flipped the map before starting so that the backwards sun rotation is now rising in Conwy’s east and setting in the west. Guess they overlooked that lol.

The prime location on the river is the site of Conwy Castle, perhaps Europe’s very best example of this type of castle. This map attempts to stay as true as possible to the actual location, even down to the rail line that goes right past Conwy Castle across the river and through its old moat. It is a tiny bit off scale, not enough to notice (scale is 1:1.2) so a few interesting features could be included.

Conwy Castle analog you see in the image is from the following collection, which among many other goodies has two types of castle walls http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=409458504

The following UK / British Isles building themes look great in the neighbourhoods of this map and are seen in these images:

Be sure to check them out, read the instructions to be able to have a city with buildings by: rik4000,
MacWelshman, dazflint and Kliekie (Kliekie’s are Dutch modern, which look similar to modern brick UK housing) :
