Toronto City Hall opened in 1961 to house the offices of the City of Toronto and Metropolitan Toronto (who would later move out in the 90’s). The building was designed by Finnish architect "Viljo Revell" and has become an icon of modern architecture. The building is composed of a 2 floor podium with 2 towers (one 20 stories, the other 27 stories), with the City Council Chamber located in the central "saucer" piece.
Cost to Build: $100,000
