Description:

Big thanks to Badi_dea for the support and encouragement!

Check out the urban version! – no grass at the sides, darker asphalt and more line markings

Introduction

This is a zonable 32m/4-tile wide suburban two-lane road with space for Badi_dea’s parking lot markers.
很差的中文说明: 60度倾斜停车郊区道路(需要自己放Badi_dea停车位)
Inspired by the road trips I took in Australia, it’s the more laid-back cousin of the original, with grass and trees at the sides, more worn-out asphalt, and less line markings.
Pictures above are taken with vanilla game.
LHD shown but RHD works as well (for those who drive on the wrong side 😉 ).

How To Use Q&A

I can’t find this asset!
It’s in the Roads menu under the Medium Roads tab.
Look for the icon in the preview image’s bottom left.

Why are there no parking spaces / parking lot markers ?!
This asset doesn’t come with parking lot markers – you need to manually place them.
It’s designed to work with Badi_dea’s excellent parking lot markers.
Minimally subcribe to Parking Lot Roads which gives you perpendicular parking lot markers (and roads to make parking lots!).
To get angled parking lot markers, subscribe to either of these:
60° Parking Lots (Left Hand Traffic)
60° Parking Lots (Right Hand Traffic)
All the parking lot markers can be found in the Roads menu under the Maintenance tab.
Use a road anarchy mod to place the parking lot markers on top of the road in the desired pattern.
(Alternatively, you can use your own vehicle props and line decals)

Why are my parked cars floating in mid-air?!
Try building the road on more level terrain or use the shorter individual markers.
From Cieran84: Move It!’s new align height feature really helps in leveling out your roads/parking spaces to get rid of those height glitches.

My zebra crossings disappeared?!
Zebra crossings only appear at junctions with traffic lights.
Use the in-game junction traffic light toggle to switch between traffic lights with zebra crossings or no traffic lights with no zebra crossings.

I don’t have those fancy mid-block crossings like in the pictures.
You need to place them with the Crossings mod.
Subscribe to the Crossings mod and read the instructions there:
To place a crossing, go to the Roads menu. Underneath the buttons which allow you to select straight, curved etc there should now be a button with a pedestrian icon on it. Select this and you will be able to place crossings at most of the same locations where you can currently create an intersection. To remove a placed crossing, simply right click on it using the same tool.

I have trees but I don’t have tree planters.
You need to subscribe to Network Extensions 2 and enable the RoadPlanter1 asset.

The trees are too far apart.
Subscribe to Network Skins and adjust the repeat distance of the tree when building/upgrading the road.

I don’t like the default trees / lights.
Subscribe to Network Skins and read the instructions there.

Why aren’t there wheelchair accessible ramps at crosswalks like in your other roads?
I wanted to include them, but sadly it looked weird when used with the Crossings mod, so I left this feature out.
