Tongyeong – Vanilla Map 통영시

아래 한국어 지침 Vanilla map of Tongyeong South Korea. The unusual shoreline shapes, flat, level low areas split by forested mountains make it naturally ideal for a scenic Cities Skylines map. Compared to my other maps the terrain is a medium challenge.

Beautiful Tongyeong is Korea’s most historic seafaring town. Its clean waters host a marine nature preserve and its natural beauty have made it a prime tourism destination for Koreans. The redwoods of the map simulate the expansive conifer forests of the very tall Cryptomeria, Cypresses and Pines of the area, which can exceed 70 m (230 ft).

3x Highway
2x Rail (does not exist in real life, added for game reasons)
4x Ship
4x Air

Flat, buildable land between mountain and shoreline
Easy water management
Ferries and cable cars will be fun here as in real life
Scenery combining mountain backdrop and waters will make for great city scenery
Traffic is a bit more challenging than my other maps, since traffic flows through start square just like a vanilla map

1. Close Cities completely
2. Subscribe to Overlayer v2 mod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=662933818
3. Download the overlay image from Imgur https://imgur.com/NsMtn85
4. Put image in the folder C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonCities_SkylinesFiles
5. Rename the overlay image "overlay" if it is not already called that
6. Start Cities, on Main Menu click Content Manager, then Mods on left hand side. Scroll to Overlayer v2 mod, activate it
7. Start a new city or load existing city. a little blue button is now on the top left of your screen. This is the mod’s toggle button. Click that and wait a few seconds, and the overlay will appear 🙂 Use the blue button to toggle on and off

side note: The image is upside down because the sun rotates backwards from west to east in vanilla cities skylines map themes (temperate here). This map has been designed "upside down" so that the sun rotates across your simulated Tongyeong correctly (from east to west), thus the map overlay is also upside down to match.
