Jan Mayen
This is a map of Jan Mayen, a volcanic Norwegian island in the North Sea. The map was made with data from the Norwegian Polar Institute, specifically "J0 Terrengmodell", found here: http://geodata.npolar.no/ with the low-lying areas and lakes sculpted by hand. Those details don’t transfer well from heightmaps, which results in previously published Jan Mayen maps lacking important features.

The playable area extends from the southwest corner of the island to just north of the Beerenberg crater. The highway connection runs underground from a spot of land on the map edge (obscured by fog during gameplay) and emerges on the isthmus, northwest of Sørlaguna. Four lakes are present: Sørlaguna, Nordlaguna, Tornøevatnet, and Ullringlaguna, though the last two are tiny. There are no natural resources, as this is a barren arctic island…
