Mississauga Civic Centre
The Mississauga Civic Centre is the City Hall for the City of Mississauga Ontario, Canada; located directly west of Toronto. The building was designed by "Jones and Kirkland" firm and opened in 1987. The building was designed to resemble a "futuristic farm" symbolizing Mississauga’s origins as a simple farm county and its progression towards the modern City it is today. The front symbolizes a barn, the clock tower symbolizes a windmill, the office tower symbolizes a farm house, and the Council Chamber symbolizes a grain silo.
