Le Grand Paris – Greater Paris (scale 1:2)
Hey guys !
Try to emulate Paris or build a new city on the Seine !
This is a realistic map of Paris region (Île-de-France) comprising the immediate suburbs of Paris (la Petite couronne) and just a bit of countryside for those who want to use the 81 tiles mod. It’s a 1:2 scale. I believe the 1:1 scale is not suited for CS. The famous parisian beltway wouldn’t even fit in the central square, so even with the 81 tiles mod it would be a pain to play it.
The rivers and the heights are very accurate but it’s still designed for playability ! The Seine and the little rivers are a little bit oversized so it feels more natural.
The soil is quite fertile, there’s a lot of trees, a bit of ore and just a pinch of oil. It has all connexions (x4) besides the ship one for obvious reason. The beltway is connected to the four major highways which bond Paris to the rest of the country and there’s a kind of a train beltway that is also connected to the four directions. All these tracks strictly respect the actual disposition of Paris network.
