Regio Leiden
Map of the Dutch city of Leyden and the surrounding areas. Stretches from Vlietland in the south to the lakes around the Kaag in the North. Area includes the dunes and Katwijk on the coast, but this falls outside of the 25 playable squares. Built on 1-to-1 scale, but the canals, rivers and singels are a bit wider than in real life. There’s also a bit more relief than I’d like, but the polders kept flooding 🙂
Outside connections are the Highways A44 and A4, also included is a stretch of the N11 (although that isn’t connected to the outside). Railway The Hague – Amsterdam.
Lot’s of fertile land in the Polders, no ore or oil resources.
