Scottopolis for Sam Bur
Hi Sam, I have here a city that isn’t the prettiest, but may be a good source of education for your viewers that are reasonably new to the game like I am.
This is my first 100,000 person city and I followed many of the basic tutorials online explaining arteries, collectors, and local streets in order to make a pretty ugly but very large city! In fact, getting to 100,000 was much easier than I expected using these methods.
I actually had reasonable traffic flow at around 70% but there are some serious problem areas. After watching your videos I made a go at it…
And ended up getting my traffic flow to below 50% before I nuked the whole place.
So maybe give this map a shot in order to educate some newbies like me on how to fix your traffic on your first, ugly, grid-filled, but proud of the accomplishment anyway sort of map.
Target Areas: Downtown Core, garbage trucks.
