ONE CLICK COLLECTION

Introduction

You know you’re in deep when you make a map to take a break from the map you started to take a break from the map you started to take a break from the city you’re supposed to be making videos for.

Anyway, this map just happened because I felt like making a sorta relaxed rural map. Inspired (and terrain mapped) from the American great plains, it’s a simple, easygoing river valley with some gentle hills.

Features

* Realistic road and rail grades with custom interchanges.

* Selectively forested areas using pdelmo’s low poly trees for a very GPU friendly map.

* Optimized for small towns or suburbs and intermediate to advanced players.

Recommendations

* The Industries DLC is only used for one bridge on the map, which I included without realizing it required the DLC. I decided to leave the bridge; if you don’t have the DLC, it will be pretty easy to find and connect the missing bridge.

* This map isn’t quite as flat as it looks. I preserved most of the heightmap, so there’s a lot of subtle slopes. Flatten areas before detailing them if you need precision.

* I put down a lot more roads than I usually do on maps. To access or modify them all, I recommend 81 Tiles for this map. You’ll need it along with Traffic Manager if you want to increase the road capacity, which is pretty low by default.

* Adaptive Prop Visibility Distance is required for the mountain grass to appear properly. If the performance impact of that mod concerns you, don’t subscribe to it or the grasses.

* I’m using Daylight Classic, the Relight 2 Natural LUT, and the HDRI Haven Cubemap Pack. Other LUTs may give you a vibe you like better.

* I recommend using Hide It or No Radioactive Deserts to hide Shore Areas. My shore detailing conflicts with the default shore texture and looks bad.

* Tree LOD Fix, Random Tree Rotation, and Sharp Textures will all help the trees pop.
