SMT Props1 Heavy Metal
This prop-pack includes three props:
1. SMT Soldier
2. SMT Howie (ML-20 152mm Howitzer)
3. SMT Tank (T34-76)
The 8-meter tall bronze statue of a soldier was created by sculptors Vladimir Tsigal and Lev Kerbel. A plaster cast served as a stand-in for the sculpture when the memorial was inaugurated on November 11, 1945. It was replaced by the bronze sculpture that we see today in 1946.
The tanks and artillery pieces took part in the siege of Berlin at the end of April, 1945. It is said that the two T-34s were the first tanks to enter Berlin, and that after the battle, these artillery pieces fired volleys to declare the end of the war.
