Description:

This is a recreation of the Pesa Twist-Step, a three-carriage tram operated on the Silesian Interurbans system in Poland! Katowice is the regional capital that they all pass through, so I’ve published it under that city’s name.

It is asymmetrical – the doors are on the right hand side, meaning it only looks correct driving on the right. I produced a left-hand mesh and I included the flags in the asset editor so that it should switch if it drives on the left, but apparently this doesn’t work for trams even though its treated as a default vehicle. So that’s weird and a bummer.

This is also my finest vehicle yet, I think, in terms of balancing detail and optimisation. It is at least as detailed as the Urbos 3-100 tram, but the texture is a quarter of its size, packed to the gills. The mesh is smaller than the vanilla trams. It took me about a week to make.

The item is a commission, which is why it’s not from Sydney, Australia, where all my other stuff is from. It’s the first asset I wasn’t able to see with my own eyes, but there was a ton of reference photos online from enthusiasts that helped a lot. I will continue to produce stuff I’m interested in focused on Sydney, Australia, but hey, if you’d like something specific to jump the queue, send me a message, and I’ll consider it! This is simply a very nice tram, that helped convince me to do it.

Beautiful screenshots and commission provided by PEWEX.
