Sault Ste. Marie – Canada and USA – Final Version
Sault Ste, Marie, Canada and USA
This map includes both American and Canadian Sault Ste. Marie. The St. Mary’s River runs from west to east connecting Lake Superior and Laker Huron. Sault St. Marie has was first the location of a tradingpost but in the early 1900’s was industrialized with a steel plant. Ore came from Duluth Wisconsin from the west by ship, and from the north via the Algoma Central Railway from Wawa .It wasn’t until 1962 that a bridge was made spanning river connecting the two soo’s. The i-75 runs from the south to the bridge.
– Better "real world scaling", Improved height mapping, and better water simulation.
– I have simplified the terrain around the locks to allow boats to travel through.
Again, ore industry has been placed around the location of the steel plant. The idea is that ore would bee used to make steel.
