The EMU 800 is one of the commuter trains used by the Taiwan Railway Administration ( 台鐵TRA ) and is the 5th local train in Taiwan. These railcars were constructed by Taiwan Rolling Stock Company ( TRSC ) and Nippon Sharyo.
Due to the similar timing and same technical cooperators, EMU800 and TEMU2000 are "different in appearance" but "mechanically equivalent" .
