Heydar Aliyev Centre by Zaha Hadid
The Heydar Aliyev Centre is an award winning arts and cultural complex in Baku, Azerbaijan designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles. The centre is named after Heydar Aliyev, the first secretary of Soviet Azerbaijan.
An internationally recognised architectural work, the Heydar Aliyev Center has become a signature landmark of modern Baku due to its innovative and cutting-edge design. Extending on eight floor levels, the centre accommodates a 1000 seat auditorium, temporary exhibition spaces, a conference centre, workshops, and a museum.
In recreated this amazing building I have strived to replicate the spectacular curves that distinguish this architectural wonder. As such, the tri-count is higher than it could have been, but you’re not going to plop more than one of these are you?
Geometry
Model: 31,900 tris
LOD: 765 tris
In-game footprint: 22 x22 units (175 x 175m).
Textures
2048 x 2048 textures with a 128 LOD.
This asset has textures and LODs with normals, specular and illumination maps.
Plopping the building will flatten the ground but I recommend flattening an area of the footprint beforehand to avoid "Terrain too steep" warnings.
The asset is constructed from six sub-buildings that all use the same textures, so if you use the Loading Screen mod the textures will be shared by all the elements and this will reduce any load on your machine.
