Crispy’s RHT Large Roundabout
Crispys right hand traffic diamond roundabout.
This roundabout was designed to get sims to use the logical lane when using the roundabout. It does this with a combination of street and highway roads. No traffic management mods are required to get this to operate correctly. I found that while traffic management mods like Traffic Manager are great, they often just move the problem to the next intersection, or cause other problems. So this series of roundabouts was designed to operate using no mods.
Note:- Mass transit DLC is required.
. When masking a right turn, sims will use the right hand bypass lane.
. When going straight through, sims will use the outside lane of the roundabout.
. When turning left, sims will initially use the inner lane of the roundabout then transfer to the outer lane to exit the roundabout.
Getting sims to use the correct lane improves traffic flow.
The roundabout come undecorated, but you can easily add decoration to look like the roundabout in the video, by using the Surface Painter mod to fill the gaps between the roads with asphalt and standard tree placement to add trees to the centre.
This roundabout is only suitable for right hand traffic (for USA, Europe etc). See links below for different sizes and left hand traffic versions (for Australia, UK etc)
