Description:

The Merchants’ Exchange Building, designed by William Strickland and built between 1832 and 1834, housed the first stock exchange in the United States large enough to have to move out of a tavern and into its own building. It occupies a small irregular block at the intersection of Dock Street, Walnut Street, and 3rd Street in Philadelphia. Today it houses offices for the National Park Service.

YES THE TOWER IS SUPPOSED TO BE WHERE IT IS

(they actually made the mistake of moving it in an early restoration and then had to move it back)
