Office and commercial building. The ground floor is occupied by retail and gastronomy. The upper floors represent office use.
This is my first building based on my own architectural design. Although I used texture elements from existing buildings.
I had chosen a vacant plot of land in my city and set myself the goal of developing a plausible architectural design according to the motto “the location determines the architecture”. The environment in my city is predominantly shaped by Berlin assets. So I used a neoclassical architectural style with the sandstone facade that is currently widely used in Berlin. The property is quite narrow. The front stands on a main street at the end of a long line of sight. This justifies the striking portal construction. The highway runs on the back. For passive noise protection, the building has fewer windows and offices on the back. A glass wall protects the courtyard from the ingress of noise.
The total effort for this asset is around 55 hours. Filing your own design, trying out various texture elements, etc. takes a little more time than reconstructing an existing building. The file is a bit bigger because I wanted to make a little change in the sandstone elements.
