日本の鉄道は独立採算を求められており特に地方の小さな鉄道会社は財政が厳しく。大手私鉄や東京メトロから中古車両を譲渡してもらって手に入れるのは格安で多くの鉄道会社が行っています。
一方それらの多くが東京都市圏での輸送を目的に長大編成を組む設計になっており。地方私鉄が望む短編成を組むには大規模な改造が必須です。
またそんな地方の私鉄の多くの車両限界が18m車にしか対応してないのです。
その中にはとんでもない魔改造を施された車両もいます…

東京メトロは新型車両2000系を導入し02系を退役させることを発表した。02系の多くは90代以降導入されたもので短命での引退となってしまった。
2018年10月、廃車となった02系に北陸と書かれた貼り紙が貼ってあるという噂が広まった。これは02系が北陸鉄道に譲渡されるのではと考えられた。だが実際は北陸とは日本総合リサイクルのことであり北陸鉄道へ譲渡はデマであった。

In October 2018, a rumor spread that there was a sticker with Hokuriku written on the 02 series that became a scrapped car. This was considered to be the transfer of Series 02 to Hokuriku Railway. However, Hokuriku actually means Nihon sougou Recycle Co ltd in Hokuriku resion, and transfer to Hokuriku Railway was a shame.
このデマをもとに、もし02系が他の鉄道に譲渡改造された車両を創作したのががこのアセットです。
基本的な構成は熊本電鉄に譲渡された01系をベースにしていて…

この電車は黒砂小田電鉄に5編成導入され。旧型車両を置き換えました。これによりランニングコスト削減され故障率も低下される予定です。
