Dutch House #10
A typical Dutch house as you would see on the island of Schiermonnikoog. These houses were moslty inhabited by fisherman and all show the same characteristics due regulations of the lord of the eiland. In dutch, these house are known as ‘Eilander Huisjes’.
The house has one white and one bricked side(with ‘friese geeltjes’). The low sides were meant for storage. The smal window in the front was meant for storage of dried peat and wood.
