This is my very first asset/prop in the game. As a big fan of neoclassical and renaissance architecture and art, the following asset/prop will be on the same theme.
Grave of honour of the world’s greatest ever composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) the Vienna Central Cemetery.
The grave of the composer at the Central Cemetery can be seen as a monument and was built in 1859. Mozart was buried at the cemetery St. Marx in the 3rd district of Vienna.
In 1891, one hundred years after his death, Mozart’s graveside memorial moved from St. Marx to join the composer’s musical contemporaries and successors at the Zentralfriedhof. The memorial features a grieving muse as well as Mozart’s portrait in relief. It’s not unusual to find flowers left there by well-wishers.
The memorial’s creator was Hanns Gasser, whose various sculptures can still be seen around the city today. Some have their own particular link to the great composer.
