Blues Point Tower
Here to ruin some north shore cims’ view of the Harbour Bridge. Derided as one of the ugliest buildings in Sydney (by bourgeois types), Harry Seidler’s Blues Point Tower was to be the first of many proposed modernist apartment buildings filling the postcode of McMahons Point. It was completed in 1962 and was the tallest residential building in Australia until 1970. It sort of resembles a big jenga tower.
Find It! keyword: "Blue" or "Blue point tower". I don’t know why "Blues" won’t return it as a result. The asset is called Blues Point Tower and the filename is BluesPointTower.crp. Couldn’t tell ya what’s up there.
This recreation is a 3×3 level 4 high density residential building. It is around 25 stories tall, 83m high. It’s fairly high detail so maybe not suited to fulfilling Seidler’s dream. It also includes a rotating prop on the roof which is a radar installed by NSW Maritime in 2011 to assist with traffic control.
