Leninsky Avenue 30, Moscow
An eight-story stalinist semicircular residential building with a 14-story tower located on Gagarin’s Square in Moscow. Built in 1950 by the architect A. E. Arkin. The building was planned as a residential building of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions (VTsSPS), but later it was also occupied by employees of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the First Main Directorate of the USSR KGB. The house was part of the main entrance to the city. A.I.Solzhenitsyn, a famous writer, took part in the construction of the building while in prison.
