Asset is inspired by a long standing business called Claudio Specialty Foods on the 9th Street Italian Market row in Philadelphia. The Claudio family has been serving specialty gourmet products to the wholesale and retail public for over 60 years, from our inception in the 1950s, when the late Italian immigrant Claudio Sr. and his wife Salvatrice started the family business and they have been family owned and operated ever since. Whether you’re looking for Imported Olive Oils, Extra Aged Balsamic Vinegars, Specialty Imported Pasta products, Imported Cheeses, Meats, or any other Mediterranean delicacy, Claudio Specialty Foods is available to meet your product needs.
I adapted Claudio foods to a building I had previously modeled for LaGuli Pastry Shop. But I think it fits quite well.
This Italian Imports market is one of the first wave from my Little Italy collection I plan to publish in the coming months where I take independent Italian American businesses with appealing vintage signage that have endured for decades in places like NYC, Philly, Detroit, St Louis, SF, etc.. Expect to see pasta shops, cheese shops, cafes, bakeries, butchers and much more.
