The New Synagogue
This model is based on a synagouge from Ostrów Wielkopolski, Poland.
According to Wiki;
Designed by Moritz Landé, construction was completed in year 1860.
This synagogue represents Moorish Revival style, once very common in this area.
We can assume that much of its detail comes from a huge redevelopment of the building that took place in year 1903.
The synagogue was originally meant for followers of Reform Judaism.
During WW2, the synagogue had been closed down and the building entered decades of its decay. It was used only ocassionaly for some events from time to time.
In year 2011, entire building was entirely renovated and it now hosts a cultural centre.
