That popular Electric Six song had the crowd going wild during the last show I attended at the Black Cat before moving away from DC. Residents of your city can now enjoy the nightlife at this venue that supports indie rock, metal, punk, and electronic, as well as DJ/dance nights.

This asset is inspired by the Black Cat at 1811 14th St NW in Washington DC. The Black Cat is an independent music club with a capacity for 700 fans for their second floor main stage. The investors of the venue include several successful musicians with Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters being the most notable.
The windows on the building are boarded up by design. So you won’t see this asset lighting up after other than the optional spotlight props I affixed on the front. The real-life building has the windows covered by plywood with a Black on grey Damask stencil with a mural that is a silhouette of a cat. I choose to have a little fun with it and instead used a damask that is comprised of cats. I’m sure over the years this building has had many uses. It certainly looks like it would have originally been a theater as you can still see the attachment points for the marquee. In the 1980s the building was Mattos Auto Body.
The asset is a unique building level 1. I made this choice to assign the tourism and entertainment stats. But also because I don’t think a club like this makes sense as a commercial growable that occurs over and over in your cities. Better to use Ploppable RICO, which I’ve enabled, to place the building once on one your main commercial corridors that has wall-to-wall buildings as this building is exactly 3 tiles wide edge-to-edge.

On the rooftop the two skylights are part of the model but the rooftop access, vents and air ducts are props which I’ve listed in required assets. They are not mandatory requirements. You could forgo those props but the flat roof will probably look less interesting.
