Blank Roads Pack
Set of 14 different roads stripped of markings!
In addition to being able to mark intersections, you can now use the fantastic mod Intersection Marking Tool to mark road segments. To take full advantage of this, you need blank roads. I decided to make a set of them. These roads are using less space for each lane, which makes your city look more realistic. I’m planning to make a blank set of all vanilla roads without any modification, but for now you can use the roads in this package.
It contains custom roads based on vanilla roads and the vanilla+ roads by Delta 5-1
I’ve removed all signs, markings, decals and tunnels for the ultimate customizing experience. I’ve also made roads with pedestrians on the left sidewalk only. Use Surface Painter to remove the pavement on the right sidewalk. You you can place buildings near the roadside on the right side, and it looks great.
I don’t do tunnels. Use vanilla roads or some of the rendered once from the workshop.
Some of my roads also doens’t include a bridge. Use other roads for this. In addition, I haven’t done any lane modification on the bridge parts. So a four lane road, will have a two lane bridge.
The streets have a speed limit of 50 kmph, and the highways have a limit of 80 kmph. Use TM:PE to change it.
The smallest highway have one shared lane. To make this work, add an invisible traffic light at each end of a transit to a wider road, link the traffic lights with timed traffic light from TM:PE, and let through one direction at a time. You get the illusion of cars waiting for opposite traffic to be cleared. This occurs on many country roads in Europe.
The street lights are vanilla. This is because you can then choose between hiding them with loading screen mod, use them as they are or replace them by using Network Skins 2
As a plopper, I think it is better to have full control of signs and decals. There are lots of these in the workshop, and the result will be much better if you place them yourself.
