Description:
Good Afternoon Workshop!

Just finished the Devon Tower! Overall, making this asset was pretty smooth (other than a weird normals problem in Blender) so it’s out rather quick. I do have a lot of time this summer as well lol

The Devon Energy Center is the sleek, modern, and very out of place newest tallest building in Oklahoma City AND in the state, by a wide margin – it’s almost 200ft taller than Tulsa’s BOK Tower, which held the record until 2011-ish. Even though it looks kinda out of place in Oklahoma City (due to it being nearly twice as tall as the next tallest building in the city) it is quite a sleek glass tower in my opinion, and the center it’s attached to is very nice as well.

From Wikipedia:
The Devon Energy Center (also known as the Devon Tower) is a 50-story corporate skyscraper in downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It is by far the tallest building in the city and state, and is tied with Park Tower in Chicago as the 62nd tallest building in the United States. Construction began October 6, 2009, and was completed in October 2012.[4] The tower is located next to the historic Colcord Hotel, which Devon currently owns, on Sheridan Avenue between Hudson and Robinson Avenues. The office tower, a six-story rotunda, and a six-story podium structure comprise more than 1,800,000 square feet (170,000 m2) and was initially estimated to cost $750 million;[4] however, the first formal appraisal of the tower and complex came in at only $707.9 million.[5] It serves as the northern anchor of Oklahoma City’s aggressive Core to Shore downtown redevelopment project.[6]

This asset is HUGE, so even with the sub-building it’ll still pop out of view sometimes, I’m sorry. If you really care about that you could always turn the whole thing into a Procedural Object, bump up the view distance, and put a unique building block service inside, it would have the same effect. Don’t be alarmed by the file size either. This is two assets technically, but they both share the same 2048×1024 texture, so if you use the Loading Screen Mod, this is really more of a 5MB asset.
