This is my ready made rail junction for when a straight ‘T’ will do nicely.
Whenever lines need to merge or branch it is worth bearing in mind that if the distance that the train travels within the junction is not longer than the train itself (plus a little extra for clearance) then at some point a waiting train will block the track. This is definitely not an issue on this junction.
Well tried and tested.
