The Nova LFS40 is a line of 40 foot buses built by the NovaBus Inc. This particular asset is based off of the model used by the TTC in Toronto Ontario, Canada. The TTC purchased the Nova LFS40 in 2013 as part of its retirement of the Orion V fleet. While this was the first large scale purchase of Nova Buses by the TTC since the 1990’s with the Nova RTS; the Nova LFS40 has been to Toronto before. The TTC briefly tested the original LFS40 back in 2002 however instead decided to purchase the Orion VI and New Flyer D40LF for its first low-floor fleet. Today the Nova LF40 has become a mainstay of the TTC’s bus fleet with more buses purchased since 2014 as part of the retirement of the Orion VII and Orion VIING buses.
