Danforth Carhouse
Danforth Carhouse was a Streetcar Carhouse and bus Garage in Toronto Ontario, Canada. The facility was opened in 1914 by the Toronto Civic Railway Company and featured office space as well as 3 storage tracks. The facility would come under the control of the Toronto Transportation Commission in 1921, and would soon after be expanded with 6 additional storage tracks. The Carhouse would serve streetcar operations until 1954 when buses began to be stored at the Carhouse. By 1965 all streetcar service to the Carhouse was ended and the facility was converted into a bus garage. It would serve as such until 2002 when the garage was closed down. The TTC still owns the facility although it is used for storage space and office space for the Subway division.
