Plattenbau electric substations
Please read the description for more info!
Hello Folks,
this week’s asset is something rather simple; two electrical substations in east-german concrete design.
The buildings are originally used for distributing long-distance heating between "Plattenbau"-blocks, I think, but representing them as substations should work too.
Background info:
Multiple of these buildings can be found scattered around Halle-Silberhöhe.
There is two versions of this distribution building, a small one with a 12x12m footprint, and a larger one with a 18x12m footprint.
The roofs are made up of so-called "HP-Schalen" (hyperbolic panels), so a concrete panel which is curved on two axis.
I extensively used these panels for my gym halls KT60 and MT90.
The rest of the buildings is made up of reinforced concrete panels, in original blueprints referred to as "Stahlbetonbauten". This is where the abbreviation "SBB" comes from.
I will most likely group up all buildings made up of these panels under "SBB".
In-game:
The substations can be found under their names starting with "HAL SBB substation" or alternatively by searching for "Plattenbau".
Nearly all concrete surfaces of this building are color-mapped.
The plot sizes are 2×2 and 3×2.
The small one has a power output of 6MWs with a construction cost of 4000$ and a maintenance cost of 6.4$/week.
The large one has a power output of 10MWs with a construction cost of 6000$ and a maintenance cost of 9.6$/week.
Both substations share the same main texture file. Using the Loading Screen Mod to cut down on file size is advised.
