Chūō Shinkansen
The Chūō Shinkansen is supposed to drive on the Chūō Shinkansen line (中央新幹線) between Tokyo and Nagoya. It is using the SCMaglev technology.
The train is designed specifically for the SCMaglev Track. You need the Additive Shader Mod to make the illuminated windows work.
Unlike the German maglev system (Modern MAGLEV track), the Japanese technology uses superconducting magnets (SC) – hence SCMaglev – to lift the train. Since lift occurs at a minimum of 180 km/h, the train uses rubber wheels at lower speeds.
This system does not only improve the vehicle stabilization, but also allows far greater speeds above 600 km/h.
The train’s lining color adapts to the line color you choose.
