Description:
Island Map: Isla de Ambrosia

UPDATE: I’ve fixed the direction of a highway ramp in the starting area.
NOTE: There is a small error in this map, one of the highway ramps in the starting area is facing the wrong direction.

This map is the retextured version of my Ambrose Island map. I’ve made it into a tropical theme because I think it’s an excellent map to use in combination with the After Dark expansion. The map has lots of beaches, scenic hills and a few islands that perfectly suit the new district styles.

The outlay is mostly the same as the original, however I’ve made a few modifications. The island that is seperated from the main island is now slightly bigger, so it’s a bit easier to make it selfsufficient. I’ve also added another lake that is within the range of the starting tile. I did this because the water flow in the river is not really suitable for water pumps, and the lake is capable of providing water because it has it’s own water source.

Infrastructure
There is a single highway and a single line of rail connecting starting tile on the island to the mainland. This is intentional, so that the island feels a bit more isolated. There are ship routes around the island and up the bay. Around the starting tile should be enough space for an airport.

Water
The island has a curly river that flows from the main mountain, and passes through a lake. It can’t hold ships, but the bay has access for shipping up to the small beach. There are two lakes close to the starting tile that both can serve water pumps and sewage facilities, as they have their own water source.

Resources
There are six oil and six ore fields spread out over the island. Unlike the original, the farmland is just farmland, so it doesn’t have any differently colored soil. The map has very dense forests to keep it tropical. Most of the beaches also hold palm trees.

I want to do a shoutout to user Luckysocks, who suggested to recreate this map in the tropical style. Thanks! If you encounter any issues, let me know in the comments. Have fun!
