Utrecht, The Netherlands 2030 (network extensions mod)
Edited version of my original Utrecht map. There’s a lot of work in this map, so I welcome feedback!
Compared to the vanilla map , this one has more roads (all roads are as planned, these will be build coming years irl) and easier starting location, but does need the network extensions mod. If you prefer playing without mods, please see my other Utrecht map, it’s intentionally build without mods, and doesn’t differ much anyway else.

Being in the center of the Netherlands, traffic around Utrecht is usually very congested, especially around rush hour.
Because of this, a lot of extensive roadworks are planned for the coming years. As the plans are known, I’m way ahead of them and made this version with all the planned highways in place, down to the right number of lanes.
Lets see if the roads hold up.
Features farmland and woods, a lot of water, railways and the highways build to match their real counterparts with correct number of lanes and tracks. Important buildings marked by trees, which can ofcourse be ignored. Very slightly enlarged scale (1.1) to include all of the city and the most important exits from the highways, without sacrificing the ability to rebuild the real life city to scale.
The fourth largest city of The Netherlands with around half a million inhabitants, provincial capital of the province with the same name. Its location in the middle of this densely populated country means it has some major highways running around and partly through the city, including the A2, A12, A27 and A28 and four major junctions, some of these among the busiest of Europe. Utrecht also has the largest train station of the country, handling about 250.000 passengers and 1000 trains a day, besides 7 other train stations, as well as an extensive public transport network with busses travelling over dedicated lanes and three tramlines. Besides all this, the Dutch are avid cyclists, travelling about 880km a year per person by bike, which amounts to almost 25 percent of total km’s travelled in the country. Top 3 of busiest cycling intersections of the country are all found in the centre of Utrecht, which has an extensive bicycle lane network, bicycle highways to nearby towns and boasts the largest bicycle parking in the world, build over multiple levels underground with a capacity of 12500 bikes.
Tree markings;
P = police station

christian cross = cementary, crematorium
There are 8 stations in the buildable area, sort of marked with a blob of trees around the tracks.
recommendations:
– ship lane anarchy mod
– any mod that lets you obtain water and get rid of sewage without actually pumping and dumping it, fi buildings
– any mod that lets you obtain more zones to build in.
These are here because I give no guarantees of water level, flow direction and ship lanes with all of these canals being filled.
Scale used in terrain.party was 20×20.
