Bikes-First Asymmetric Street (Green)
A street that has one lane in each direction for bicycles and a one-way outer lane with a low speed limit for motor vehicles.
When placing this street, be mindful to orient the segments so that they form a functional one-way conduit for motor vehicles, or you’re liable to end up with a big mess. (You can switch directions by right-clicking with the upgrade function selected, just like normal one-way streets, despite it not having a directional arrow overlay.)
Due to this street’s slow speed, I recommend leaving room for some traditional streets nearby (almost like you’d use a highway or collector to connect normal low-density streets). so that service vehicles have a way to get from place to place without having to use the BFA Streets for all of their travel.
NOTE: There is a bug with this asset that can cause pedestrians to accumulate in random places and never leave. You can get them to leave by switching the road type, but they’ll come right back if you change it back to the BFA Street. If you can figure out what is causing this bug and/or how to fix it, please leave a comment to let me know.
