Whats new?
The map is a 1:1 Version of the area of Königsberg in the former german province of Ostpreußen – today oblast Kaliningrad-russia. All streets, rail-lines, rivers, lakes and tramlines are based on a city-plan from the 1940th.
Streets, rail and tram are vanilla only.
You will need 81 tiles and unlimited outside connections.

The Original: 1255 the knights of the german order build a castle on the banks of the pregel-river in the pegan region of pruzzia. Around this castle evolved the later city of Koenigsberg.
1701 the city saw the first crowning of a prussian king and became the political and cultural center of east-prussia. The philosopher Immanuel Kant lived there; his grave can still be visited in the ancient cathedral. 1939 the city had nearly 350k inhabitans. In august 1944 the royal airforce destroyed much of the inner city. The nearly complete destruction happend during the ground-fights against the soviet red-army. After conquering the city the soviets killed or expelled the remaining inhabitants, renamed the city in kaliningrad and populated it with russians from all corners oft the soviet union. In contrast to most other destroyed cities the old part of the city was completly torn down and even the street-grid in the inner city was changed. There were some plans to rebuild the castle and the old town but it gets more and more unlikely.
