How to set up ‘working’ Macross airport for standing version (but getting the airport to work properly will probably be easier with the submerged version)

Step 1
Build a Macross Airport (Airport) and wait for planes to start landing. This may take several day/night cycles in game and the planes may not be carrying any passengers.

Step 2
Build either the Macross SDF-1 or Macross SDF-1 Submerged (Nuclear Power Plant) and line this up with the Macross Airport. The centre plane park should be centre with the SDF-1, with the Macross Airport on one side of the road and the Macross SDF-1 on the other side (i.e. the road running between the two).

Step 3
Use Road Anarchy mod to build a large road (e.g. 6 lane road with trees) over the top of runways. This will look glitchy for the moment.

Step 4
Wait for a plane to land on the runway and then pause the game. Use the Move It mod to select the Macross Airport and use Page Up to raise the runways until they are level with the carrier arms. Having the large roads occupying the same space should cause the dirt beneath the runways to ‘dissapear’ but you may need to add more roads/adjust the road placement for this to work properly.

Step 5
Unpause the game. The airport will not be connected to the road and will not receive any passengers, but airplanes should continue to land and take off from the carrier arms.

NOTE: Some planes should be replaced with Macross VF-1S Strike Fighter
