Praia

Hi everyone! After almost six months of work/fun between Theme and Map I am happy to share this Map.
Subscribe to all required items and activate mods in game (fonts are PO mods and they need to be activated)
Even if they are not necessary to start the map correctly I suggest you subscribe to this collection of mods as well
- Highway Connections – 4 (It will seem to you that there are 6 but it’s just a trick)
- Rail Connections – 4
- Ship Connections – 2
- Air Connections – 4

My settings are in the last screen:
LUT: Real Neutral Relight COLORLESS
CUBEMAP: Klofendal https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1771841274
RENDER IT!: (see the last screenshot and remeber to activate max anisotropic filter also for LOD for everithing. Alone it replace tree lod fix, post process fx, shadow strenght adjuster, daylight classic ecc..
RELIGHT: (see the screenshot and feel free to change my settngs becouse i’m colorblind lol)
ULTIMATE LEVEL OF DETAIL: i keep everything as default except for decals. For them if i have to make video or screenshot i set 25000, otherwise i play with 4/5000)
ADAPTIVE PROP VISIBILITY DISTANCE: to set prop visibility distance to your need. It could improve or worsen your performance, depending on how you set it up.
HIDE IT!: To hide shore effect near the water otherwise you’ll have dead trees.
CLOUDS AND FOG TOGGLER: To hide fog
COMMON GROUND: to render the desired tile properly even if locked (81 tiles works as well but it’s a bit more resource intensive)
Yes, your laptop can handle this map with 16GB ram, stop being scared by trees 😉

I spent a month optimizing the map performance in general, demolishing/changing assets, paying attention to the "heaviness" of the individual tree models and reducing their number from 1.1M to 670k.
And, as you can verify in this screenshot, after all this work I realized that thanks to the new Tree Anarchy mod the trees are much more performance frendly today .
12 FPS difference betwen 670k and 0 trees, but who plays 0 trees map?
Realistically the difference between this map and a map within the vanilla tree limits hovers around 5/7 FPS (at least for my system).
If you want more FPS, the thing that affects FPS by far more than the details of the map are your graphics settings in game (first level of detail) and the settings in the mod Utimate Level of Detail (these if set above the default can completely destroy your FPS).
If this isn’t enough you can remove some trees or fences. Guardrail/vineyard/ditches/retaining wall surprising are almost as much resource consumer as trees.
As for removing some trees, I developed the ORE texture on purpose to make the terrain more interesting even in the absence of trees. You can see the effect in the southeast corner of the map behind the mountain so you can decide if you want to remove some trees or not.
This is my RIG:
CPU i7-7700k , 32GB RAM (suggested but not required), Geforce Gtx 1050 (today it is definitely not so powerful computer)
1) The terrain is not rendered properly and the rivers seems strange:
I’ve used terraforming networks near the rivers, so you need to unlock that tiles to see them properly. alternatively you can use like i’m doing common ground mod that allow you to render tiles fully where you want (or 81 tiles but it’s most resource intensive).
Also let the simulation run for a month more or less to allow the water time to stabilize on the map.
2) Something like this on bridges:
Click ALT+SHIFT+P and activate railway replacer mod. then select none for buffer.
3) LSM missing assets:
these assets are connected to some used networks but are not needed for this map, you can ignore them if you want
4) I don’t see Procedural Objects (mountains for example)
This is because you have not activated this option in LSM and they have not been loaded
5) Other sort of strange errors: This is my complete (working) mod list. It’s a "pretty standard list". If you encounter problems it is some OTHER MOD you have installed (first of all props and trees related old mods.)
6) Water: In this map it’s summer so the level of the rivers is low. Don’t pump water from them, use the lake / sea in the north. Also, the sea level is quite low, so if you are a perfectionist I recommend that you download a few ships from the workshop that do not "scrape" the bottom of the sea like the vanilla cruiser.
I have to give special thanks to Uncle Ron for his many tests and suggestions, to Avoir Rev for the Preview Image and to the entire CSMM community for their support.
And also to BonBonB for his show which increased my passion for making maps
Enjoy yourselves
