Description:

Created by m4gic and Rijsel1789, this district style is a complete “rework” of the game covering residential (high/low) commercial (high/low) and office and resetting it to a modern Latin American context.

Latin America is a truly gargantuan place. It encompasses a good chunk of North America, virtually all of Central and South America and the lion’s share of the Caribbean Isles. This Collection is inspired by the panoply of peoples and cultures (Spanish, Portuguese and Indigenous) that have coalesced in cities as varied as Ciudad de México, Havana, Tegucigalpa, Panama City, Caracas, Bogota, Medellin, Quito, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Asunción, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Lima and so, so many more.
We mixed freely between Spanish-speaking and Portuguese-speaking sides of South America as this is meant to represent a fictional version of Modern Latin America.

The distinctions of each place exist, sure, but uniting the entire Latin American hemisphere is an architectural style that is highly modern, sometimes vibrantly coloured, and mixed, of course, with over half a millennium of post-European Conquest urban history, often overlaid on several thousand year-old indigenous cities. The result is a wild explosion of high-rise and mid-rise concrete towers from red tile, sheet metal, flat or gray slate roofs of older neighborhoods — and shanties and slums.

Downtowns boast impressive skyscrapers – some Modernist; others in a culturally or geographically significant shape to echo the environs and pride of the people.

Here you will find all you need to create your own Modern Latin American City. All credits of course go to the asset creators – this is just a selection.

INSTALLATION

To install a style with all its assets:
In the main menu, go from Content Manager -> Styles (on the left) -> Subscribe to All on the style you downloaded.
Then in game, make a district and set the building style to that theme.

There might be issues with it so it is recommended to subscribe to all in the linked growables collection prior to launching the game/off game (in addition to subscribing to the district theme).

RECOMMENDED MODS

Must have: Building Themes per district
Steam Workshop::Building Themes (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=466158459&searchtext=building+themes) by bloodypenguin, boformer and SamsamTS.
Some assets for some reason do not spawn and do not get loaded to the style – this will help you troubleshoot that.

FindIt (to customise building layout)

Loading Screen Mod (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2731207699&searchtext=loading+screen+mod) – speed up loading and find missing assets

MISSING ASSETS DISCLAIMER

Based on a loading screen mod report there are about 40 missing assets (all minor props) and 3 duplicates linked to this district style – style will work all fine, this is a well documented non issue and we have on purpose chosen not to include them so as to not burden RAM even further. With a loading screen mod report you can troubleshoot that if maximum detail is needed. Any comment related to missing assets will be deleted
