Lake-Town & The Lonely Mountain
On the northern edge of the vast wildlands called Rhovanion, lifting its immensity above the emerald blanket of Mirkwood, stands The Lonely Mountain; or, as the Gray Elves know it: Erebor.
The eponymous dwarven delving grew these last few centuries into the greatest stronghold and mines of that ancient race; but even their king and most valiant warriors could not hold the depths when the dragon Smaug came to claim his hoard.
Some say he sleeps atop that treasure; and maybe it is so.
It has been a year since anyone’s seen him on-wing…but we can never forget his raids; when through the thick mists that always cling to the water he would suddenly appear in terrible fire and fury – destroying and killing everything in his path and setting the entire wooden city ablaze. Each time we survivors would rebuild…those of us who did not flee.
Now, we jump at every rustling breeze over the lake — is that the rush of dragon wing? The sharp inhale before the monstrous jets of flame and ichor that spew from the foul beast’s maw?
We here in Lake-Town know what it is like to live beneath a shadow of fear.

Inspired by J R R Tolkien / LOTR — the Lake-Town in the books was built on wood and stilts, and not as large as the island on this map; but compromises had to be made.
A few of the items shown as Required are not used on the map but are included for inspiration for you to design your own version of Lake-Town
