Apartment tombs are very common in Philippine cemeteries. They offer temporary solution to families unable to afford a permanent plot to bury their loved ones.
A grave can be rented for five years ranging from Php4000-Php6000, which covers an apartment-style niche and a tombstone.
The tombs come in different colors, depending on the family’s request.
Once the five-year contract expires, the bones of the dead will be dug up and removed.
After the tombs have been cleared of their previous occupants, these are renovated and restored for new users.
Yep! It still sucks after you die.
