When General Motors killed off Iconic Australian brand Holden, Skoda was chosen as the primary supplier of New Zealand emergency vehicles, The Skoda Superb became the primary frontline vehicle for officers in the New Zealand Police.
The Highway Patrol Police Vehicles in New Zealand are often used with a coloured metal base, this allows the Police car to stand out a bit more compared to the White General Duties Variant.
