The company "Streetscooter" has been founded as an research initiative of the RTWH Aachen [Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen], with the collaboration of a lot of other companies they wanted to create a low priced electric vehicle expressly for short-haul traffic.
The Streetscooter company has been bought by the "Deutsche Post" (the german post) in decembre 2014. The Deutsche Post requested other car manufactures to develop an electric vehicle for delivery operations, but their request was denied.
They ended up developing their own electric vehicles for delivery operations and became a car manufacturer. It is in use of the "Deutsche Post" and "DHL" which is also owned by the german post company.

This Version of the car does not need a DLC, it will serve as a normal delivery vehicle of the vanilla game from the commercials.

- A consumer variant that can be used without the DLC is coming soon.
- The consumer variant will most likely also come out with an american license plate.
