Description:
Oscar Maltipi Totem Pole

The Oscar Maltipi totem pole is one of a number in Stanley Park, Vancouver, Canada and was created in 1968 by Oscar Maltipi, a Kwakwaka’wakw artist who trained at the Royal British Columbia Museum under artist and teacher Henry Hunt.

Featuring two creatures, on top is a thunderbird with its wings down to its side rather than in the more common outstretched position. Below is an orca whale, which is shown pointing face down with its large fin jutting out from its back.

This asset was commissioned by nicocn383 for his fictional city of Strathcona based on a mix of Seattle, WA and Vancouver, B.C. Essentially a rainy and green North American city on the Pacific coast.

To place this prop search for "Totem" with the ‘FindIt’ mod.

I’ve tried to make this asset as realistic as possible and therefore the geometry tri count is high and the textures large. All of the texture elements have been created specifically for this asset in order for full control over the final look.
