ALC42E Charger & Venture – ‘Pennsylvanian’ (7Cars)
Electric Mode: Amtrak Intercity: New York – Pittsburgh
The Siemens Charger is a family of diesel-electric passenger locomotives designed and manufactured by Siemens Mobility for the North American market. There are four models of Chargers: the SC-44 for state-supported inter-city services, the SCB-40 for Brightline inter-city service, the SC-42 for VIA corridor service, and the ALC-42 for Amtrak long distance service.
– Intercity consist: 6 cars, including the battery unit, engine and driving trailer.
– ALC42E: Electric version of ALC42E, that will enter service 2025+ in Amtrak NEC route.
– Raised pantograph: This is electric mode of LAC42E, in which battery car has raised pantograph.
– Modeled interior compartment, that is quite noticeable
– Interior lightning with Additive Shader (works between 18h00 to 07h00)
– VENTURE: Contains Phase 7 Venture coaches.
– Can be assigned to train routes via IMT or transport line manager of your choice.
– This is a long train, thus should be used on loop configurations.
