The Vladimir Lenin University Hospital was born out of cooperation between Cuba and the former Soviet Union and was opened by Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz on November 7, 1965
Cuba’s outstanding health center is the most sophisticated of any hospital in the country. One in three residents of Holguín were born there.
