AEON
Eons ago, orbiting a dwarf white star in the depths of space, a stargate was anchored. Through that gate came beings so advanced that they constructed a planet-sized machine:
AEON.
It suffered some internal cataclysm in the distant past, when the sea of chemicals inside burst from the intricate metal casing with tremendous force: warping, ripping and tearing the machine at its seams.
Whoever — or whatever — built it then abandoned it to the ravages of space and time.
A toxic sludge has settled into the lowest elevations while the exposed metal surface — this "Terra ex Machina" — is perfect for our settlements.
We have come to salvage the wealth of metals and other useful materials that were left behind. Thanks to the fully-functional stargate nearby we can easily transport these resources to our Homeworld.
We’ve generated a breathable atmosphere and established networks for transport and trade; all that remains is for you to design the new capital city!
